Achaiah & Deyinara
Thanks to her help in Meshail's Media-fueled adventure prior, Achaiah had been rewarded with a small bag of the fabled drug, Chimera. She was also given a phone number to "really put it to good use." Calling the number provided a limited conversation with a monotone individual who refused to provide much detail over the phone, requesting that his caller visit in person. Unsure of what the address might actually contain, the Punisher/Pusher decided to call for potential backup in her new ally, Deyinara, Calabite of Hardcore.

It was a shoddy apartment in a dismal area of town, and its inhabitent was none other than the frizzy-haired, large-jowled male who she had caught a glimpse of weeks ago. The one who her glasses had registered as addicted to Chimera. It seems the man was a Remnant, and a former Cherub of Creation, at that. The drug gave him a glimpse of what he was, what he lost, and he would do anything to obtain more--some of his inherent gifts returned when using the substance and he could potentially learn how to make more if given a hit. Though ill at ease, with the prospect of dealing with a Remnant or Cherub, the potential of obtaining a supply of such a new and wonderous drug was too tempting to give up. Achaiah shared her supply with the un-angel.

With a brightness unseen before in the former Cherub, he informed the two demons that the drug must have been made from the remains of Ethereals--the very mists that lay in the Far Marches. Getting to the Far Marches wouldn't be easy, as the two suspected that Beleth may not care for their actions. If they could reach the Far Marches without travelling through Beleth's direct domain, so much the better. And the best potential way to do that was through an Ethereal Tether.

Calling upon another ally, the Shedite of Death, Farris, Achaiah was informed that there was a confirmed Ethereal Tether in Detroit, belonging to the Snake Goddess of Belle Isle. The Snake Goddess agreed to let them pass on two conditions, they remain silent about her tether and two, they dealt with an angel who was interfering with her followers and too close to learning about the location of her tether. Making deals with demons was one thing, being wiped out by angels was another. It was a good deal.

Achaiah and Deyinara tracked down the angel--an Ofanite of Jean, as it turned out. The Destroyer lived up to her name and, in a noisy fight, put The Wheel into trauma for what was sure to be a long period of time.

In the Marches, the two were assisted by a Balseraph of Madness who called himself "Barty." He helped them gather the Ethereal remnants and promised to "see them around" once the drug was complete.

To the shock of the demons, the resulting Chimera was more potent than either of them could imagine, allowing the Cherub to "move" a personal Force and regain his angelic status.

Well, this will only lead to trouble...
