20-Nov-2009: I Buy The Drugs

Achaiah
Detroit was no longer burning, but it had not yet recovered from the destruction incurred on Devil's Night. Neither had Achaiah. She was still without an apartment and while she had managed to obtain a new car, she had yet to regain a happy Prince. Fleurty lost a tether that night and not only did his Habbalite servitor lose the most convenient transport to Hell, she also lost her primary supplier. While Achaiah still had enough supplies to continue dealing to students and bar patrons, there wasn't enough to try to surreptitiously organize an event (or events) which might lead to the formation of a new tether.

Achaiah was pondering next steps when a skinny, androgynous teen entered her bar. The teen had a shaved head, outside of two purple bangs and wore loose clothing, calling themself "M". M informed Achaiah that the teen's boss would like to meet with the Punisher, that it would prove mutually beneficial and that it really wasn't a request. Warily, the Habbalite drug dealer drove M to "the boss", as the teen gave driving directions. Achaiah saw much of the city, as M had her drive around in circles, possibly hoping to confuse the driver but failing. Achaiah was able to determine where in Detroit the small Italian restaurant she was directed to was located.

The restaurant's basement contained what one might expect in an eatery; boxes of ingredients, wine racks, and some refrigerators. The large, antique desk was an unusual addition and the figure behind the desk was certainly a unique feature. The figure wore a white, double-breasted suit, a red shirt and white tie. His skin was a mottled green and small red horns protruded from his skull. If the character of "Lorne" in the "Angel" television series had been brought up as a mobster and worked out more often, the two could have been brothers. His speech patterns were like listening to Christopher Walken in a thick Brooklyn accent coat and he introduced himself as Gorthan.

Gorthan was a newcomer to Detroit, but recent events had opened holes in existing markets. Gorthan was planning on setting up shop in Motor City and was seeking established players in the city as contracted employees. In exchange for both money and goods, Achaiah would be supplied with drugs--which she would then sell. Achaiah was in need of a supplier and Gorthan was looking for a dealer. It was almost too good to be true. The green demon produced a contract which outlined the details of Achaiah's involvement and the Habbalite saw the catch; the profits were largely skewed towards the supplier--even more than the greediest of suppliers would normally take.

The Punisher was ready to walk away from the deal when the Detroit newcomer sweetened the pot by offering a particular drug Achaiah could deal to the occasional celestial: Chimera. With her desire to know more about the drug, there was little Achaiah could do to stop herself from signing the contract, though she suspected that something would eventually bite her in the ass.

M directed Achaiah, her trunk now loaded with illicit pharmecuiticals, back to the Punisher's bar. Achaiah convinced M (who had revealed that they were a celestial of some flavor or another) to try Chimera. The results were less than spectacular. The "teenager" began convulsing and foaming at the mouth not stopping until they grabbed a knife and killed the bar's bus-boy, Manuel. With the disturbance in the Symphony ringing and sending a trail right to the bar, the two celestials hastily covered what tracks they could and exited the area.

With no home and a trunk still full of drugs, Achaiah decided to make the best of her situation and return to attempting to please her Prince. At the grounds of the Wayne State University, the Habbalite resumed distributing her product, not sure of what the next day would bring or how much worse her situation might get.
