Daybreak: Cast List

Core Characters (PCs)
Achaiah, Habbalite of Drugs
Achaiah has been a resident of Detroit for just over two years now, furthering Fleurty's efforts to keep Drugs a powerful Word in the region, acting as a drug dealer and maintaining the Role of a bartender named Heidi Bach at the El-Capri Lounge.

Bur-Num, Calabite of Fire
When Devil's Night of 2009 set fires through the city, Belial was quick to capitalize on the sudden word-growth, however quickly it might burn out. War in the streets or no, many of his servitors were dispatched to Detroit to help spot any potential tethers and promote fire. The recently fledged Calabite, Bur-Num was included in that number. As the manager of a smoke shop, he assumed the role of Frye Burnham where he encourages the showing off of lighters, throwing cigar butts on the side of the road and appreciation for the long smoke.

Meshail, Habbalite of Media
Like the Lilim Rose, Meshail is a servitor of Media. The Fallen Creationer also works in radio, like Rose. The two stable Media-ites even work at the same radio station. Meshail is a radio producer for the "psychic investigator" and radio talent Jas Stevens, working to produce shows that keep people so captivated they don't communicate--or, when they do bother to talk, it's about theories and the world's half-truths that don't really matter.

Nithaul, Impudite of the War
War's always the same. From my first battles fighting with Spain against the Aztecs, to sailing the high seas on a pirate vessel, to watching brother fight brother in the Civil War. It never changes. It is always two sides, always messy, and always ends with the spirit of one side battered and destroyed. And I've been on the sinning side in all my conflicts. This has never changed in the 512 years of my existance.

So why does my last war make me feel like I lost? And why does the name Emily haunt me so?

Nithaul is a newcomer to Detroit, riding in with a Djinn Captain of War named Virdriv and his motorcycle gang, "The Jingo Hawks." The Impudite has been Virdriv's right-hand man for months, an assignment from Baal after the irascible Captain sent his previous "number one" into Trauma. While this new eleven-member chapter of the gang has three Soldiers of Hell (Jamie, "Muddy" and the female "Lace"), the other six club members are unaware of The War.

In the past, the Impudite has ridden with Jedediah, a Seraph of the Wind on a mission to track down and halt the actions of a renegade Shedite of the War. Despite the likely animosity between the two characters, the successful outcome of the mission helped prove Nithual's worth to Baal, netted him the Art of Combat Attunement and moved him to the potentially fast-track growth position under Virdriv's command.

During the conflict prior, Nithaul met a human named Emily Brandon, a Reporter for a local newspaper who was investigating incidents involving the Shedite. The demon found himself fascinated by her strong will and almost Taker-like ways of being charming, yet totally ruthless with a "get the job done" attitude. He felt a kindred spirit. During the confrontation with the renegade he was forced to kill Emily (who had been inabited by the Corrupter). The human's death left a sour taste in his mouth and Nithaul has begun to doubt himself.

Dispatched Characters (Retired/In Haitus PCs)
Deyinara, Calabite of Hardcore
Deyinara is a former servitor of Andrealphus, switching allegiances when Furfur came into power. The Calabite loves her loud music and how it can push people over the edge. Her vessell is a thin, short American-Asian punk in her early 20's with dyed hair (purple at the moment) and a propensity to dress provocatively. She works as a hardcore DJ in Detoit under the name "DJ Twelve."

Praxiel, Lilim of Fate
Praxiel did not last long in Detroit. The fated city seemed to have its own fate in store for the Lilim. Not even Hell knows what happened to him.

Supporting Characters (NPCs)
Aphra Trithemius
She is a sorceress who hides in plain site, claiming publicly to be a sorceress; publishing books with the barest glimmer of truth. It was her own presence which seemed to be the initial catalyst for the events which have begun to wrack Detroit.

Chet
He is never seen, he is ownly heard. He is the voice for Golden Dawn Publishing (publishers and supporters of Aphra Trithemius). He is the keeper of the small company's switchboard. With his pleasing voice, propensity to remind one that they speak to Chet of Golden Dawn Publishing, and seemingly every phone number at his disposal, he may be the biggest mystery yet.

Farris
The Shedite of Death has worked with the protagonists many times now. He is an excrement-loving, unreliable Corrupter--but sometimes everyone needs muscle and the Shedite has that in spades.

Krzkrk'N
The "Mad Shedite" who entered the body of a prophet and forecasted a storm that would cover the world. Supposedly wrote a book of prophecies, but no such copy exists in Kronos's Archives or Yves's Library. Considered one of Hell's urban myths by the few demons who have even heard or remembered the story of the demon.

Rhys
Like most demons of Theft, the Impudite isn't in town that often, but has already proved an asset to a number of the protagonists; especially when something needs to be located or moved quickly and quietly.
